Fall Ball Tournament

Philip's team, the Sylvian Hills Bears played in their first pitching machine tournament. They came in 2nd place--not bad considering they had only practiced a few times hitting off the machine.

The New Ride

Goodbye 2000 soccer mom minivan, Hello 2007 Chevy Tahoe. It can seat nine so I guess we can chauffeur the starting lineup of the baseball team.

First Day of School for All Three

Nico started Pre-K this year, so now all three are at the same school. His teacher, Ms. Browning, is the same teacher Philip had for Pre-K. We loved her and know Nico will too. Philip started 2nd grade and his teacher Mrs. Powell will be out for a month or so on medical leave, so he has a certified sub, Mrs. Griffin. He really seems to like her. Oksana is in 5th grade, her last year at the elementary school, and her teacher's name is Mrs. Smith. I can't believe they are all in school now. Nico waved me off when I brought him to his class the first day. He was ready to start his day. My baby started his first day of school the same day my oldest nephew Kyle, started his freshman year at West Virginia University.

Zoo Buddy

This tortoise is one of our favorite stops when we go to the zoo. He comes right over to the rock wall so we can scratch his head. He raises his body up like a carlift, the lowers himself when you stop petting him. He just so cute.
