Philip's Pack Meeting

Philip received his tiger badge tonight. He probably won't make it to any more meetings this year because he has baseball games scheduled Tuesdays. He is daycamp for boy scouts for one week in June. He will earn belt loops in archery, bb gun and swimming that will count in September when he becomes a Wolf.

Flat Oksana

Oksana had to create a "Flat Oksana" (like Flat Stanley)that looked like her and then record her travels in a scrapbook. The girls made paper scrapbooks at one of her meetings out of computer paper with holes punched in the sides and yarn to hold it together. I noticed at the end of the meeting that Oksana wasn't doing the craft. She told the leader her mommy scrapbooks and we either had an extra "real scrapbook" at home or I would buy her one. The "fake" scrapbook they were making at the meeting just wasn't good enough I guess. These are some of the photos that made it into the scrapbook.

Easter 2010

The kids got up early and hunted for Easter eggs. After church we took the kids to the the city's Easter Egg Hunt. When we left there we went to Grammy & Pop Pop's for another egg hunt outside. We now have enough plastic eggs to host a statewide egg hunt! We ate dinner, then Phil and I left the kids with his mom and dad to go to Chad's wake. His funeral was the next day.

Remembering Chad

Phil's childhood best friend Chad Marsh passed away at the age of 35. They had lost touch over the last few years, but it didn't lessen the blow. Chad was one of the first people Phil met when he moved to Arkansas. He was also the first person Phil introduced me to when I came down to Arkansas the first person.
