Philip lost a tooth yesterday. It was his top tooth that had been capped in silver. It's been loose for weeks, but it finally came out. He put it in the toothfairy box that his Grammy and Pop Pop gave him for Christmas and left it on top of his TV. He had a friend, Izayah spend the night. They stayed up until 3:30am--trying to capture the tooth fairy. Who knew six year olds were capapble of staying up that late? So, a bleary-eyed tooth fairy flew in around 4am to leave him money for his tooth. The tooth was no longer in the box. Philip decided to move the tooth and hid it under his pillow. He thought he was so clever, thinking he'd get even more money the next night when she came back for the tooth. I quickly explained that the tooth fairy does not pay double and may decide to skip his house the next time if he played any more tricks on her.

Friday Snow Day
The kids woke up to a nice surprise--no school on a Friday. Even better, mommy didn't have to go into work either. The kids went sledding on our neighbor's driveway that was pure ice. For those without a sled, the lid to a plastic tote worked just as well. Tinkerbelle came out to play in the snow for awhile.

SPAtacular Birthday Party
Oksana had her Overnight Pajama Glam party Saturday night. She had seven friends who were invited to spend the night at "Spa Zaffarano". They were welcomed with a fire in the fireplace, candles and hot-and-ready pizza. "Spa Zaffarano" bottled water was available to drink straight or with a flavor packet. After they had their fill of pizza it was on to their Spa stations. They were each given terry hair bands to hold back their hair before starting their treatments. They could read a teen magazine while they soaked their feet in bubble bath by the fire, apply makeup, have a manicure or pedicure and everyone's favorite-- a facial complete with mud mask and cucumbers for their tired eyes.
They played "Pedicure Musical Chairs" in which they walked around four chairs with a partner as music played. When the music stopped, one of the girls on the team sat in the chair while their partner had to paint their big toe with the color nailpolish under the chair. As the game continues, the girls go to the next toe on each foot until they have a multi-colored pedicure. Then they switch places with their partner so they can get their toes painted.
When the were finished getting beautiful, it was time for cake and presents. They ended the night camped out on sleeping bags in the living room by the fire and watching their favorite tween movies.
In the morning they had pancakes and bacon and left with a party favor of a bath scrunchie and shower gel.

Oksana turns the Big 1-0!
Happy Birthday Oksana! I can't believe you are 10! Seems like only yesterday you were 18 months old and dancing with me and Daddy at our wedding.
We went to Ci Ci's Pizza for dinner with the family. Oksana is having a Spa Party sleepover again this year with her friends next weekend. I made a spa cake with Barbie in a "bubble bath" complete with towel wrapped around her hair, cut out cucumbers on her eyes and a green face mask. I'll make the same cake next Saturday
for the girls. Oksana got a lot of great gifts and had a good time. Mommy and Daddy bought her a brane new guitar and she starts lessons the first week in February. She can sing like the country divas, now she'll learn to play like them.
Oksana, Philip, Nico and Alex and Nicholas had fun with the fake mustaches they got out of the little arcade machines in the restaurant.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all of my friends and family. Here are the kids Christmas portraits and some around the house on Christmas Day. It was a wonderful Christmas in our new home. Santa even left a boot print on the fireplace and left the doors open when he visited on Christmas Eve.
